Guitarist and songwriter for the UK thrash/death metal band Reprisal, Oliver du Toit’s sound is a lethal combination of crushing riffs and blistering, melodic leads. Although centred in the extreme metal idiom, Oliver’s progressive playing style also reveals influences as diverse as funk, blues, fusion and classical music.
Having released their debut EP ‘Ichnuemanity’ to an overwhelmingly positive reaction from both press and audience alike, Reprisal have gone on to share the stage with some of the finest acts extreme metal has to offer (Bonded By Blood, Bloodshot Dawn, Flayed Disciple, Ageless Oblivion, Seprevation, Aghast!, Abhorrent Decimation), culminating in a triumphant appearance at Bloodstock Open Air 2014.
Oliver is a full time guitar tutor and is currently writing for the next Reprisal release.
