The Carillion stock run is a new idea to my business. Despite offering exceptionally high-end hand made instruments that have an impressive list of available build upgrades and an almost endless timber selection catalog, i fully appreciate that not everybody can afford a full custom spec guitar from someone like myself. This is why i have decided to offer this (potentially one-off) stock run in the hope that it will make my work (for ten people, at least) far more affordable and allow people to actually own a Carillion without breaking the bank or upsetting the girlfriend/wife.
In order to offer this type of hand made guitar at this price point i have chosen to limit the available timber, hardware and specification options and have kept the upgrades to a minimum. Doing so will allow me to keep things incredibly simple (by comparison to my full custom builds) and not get bogged down in labor-intensive, complicated build processes, thus meaning that the costs are kept low due to saved time, but build quality is not sacrificed whatsoever.
Whether i do any more stock runs after this initial one still remains to be seen. I am confident that everything will run smoothly and on schedule with this batch of guitars, and i am sure that they will be well received. However, i am still not convinced that batch building in this simplified manner is something i want to regularly do with Carillion. I do what i do because it interests me. It excites me when i get to work on something different every day. If i got in to the habit of building the same 2 guitars endlessly i feel that it may kill my passion for the craft and my work would ultimately end up suffering as it would feel like a chore.
This is why i am encouraging everyone on the mailing list so far to be incredibly quick with their responses once i have sent out the info sheets. There are only TEN spaces in this run and i may well not do another one afterward. It is first come, first served and once the slots are filled that is it.
Anyway, back to business. Below is the standard spec for the run. There will be a few timber upgrades available but i am keeping those under wraps until i send out the info packs!
If you are interested in the run please send me a message (info@carillionguitars.com) with the heading ‘Stock Run’ and include your email address in the message and you will be added to the mailing list. REMEMBER, it is first come, first served and i currently have an over subscribed mailing list for this run so please be quick with your response!
